The Parque de la Reserva in Lima is
like no other park we have been to so far. We went on Wednesday
night, paid an entrance of four soles each expecting to see just an
ordinary garden and some fountains. What we saw was an amazing water
and lazer show, and views of spectacular fountains at this beautiful
public park. The park was renovated and reopened in 2007 (cost a
whopping 13 million US to renovate), with 13 stunning fountains, some
interactive, and a computerized water show with light and music.
There is a Tunnel Fountain you can walk through, a Rainbow Fountain,
and a Children's Fountain where you can hear the squeals of delight
as kids get wet! Also there are a few fountains where you can stand
in without getting wet but you have to have good timing! The Magic
Water Circuit, as it's called is in the Guinness Book of World
Records for being the largest water circuit in a public park and it is a
must-see in Lima.
